Nashville City Club members Jim Ayers and WaverlyCrenshaw will be honored at the 19th annual Good Guy Awards on September29th at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville. Thisevent, held by The Women’s Political Collaborative of Tennessee, honors the menin our community who have worked to engage women in the political process and communityleadership. 
 Mr. Crenshaw, an NCC member since 2004, was the firstAfrican-American attorney and partner at Waller Landsen and serves on thefirm’s Diversity Committee. He has also been recognized in America’s LeadingLawyers for Business, the Nashville Business Journal’s “Best of theBar”, “Best 101 Lawyers” by Business Tennessee, and Mid-South andTennessee Super Lawyers.
Mr. Ayers, an NCC member since 2005, serves as chairmanof FirstBank in Lexington, TN. In 1999, he established the Ayers Foundation,which supports a wide range of programs and institutions across the state of Tennesseewith an emphasis on education. Mr. Ayers also funded the Ayers Institute atVanderbilt University, giving $10 million tosupport cancer research.
